About Us
Our Mission
To prevent kidney and urinary tract diseases, improve the health and well-being
of individuals and families affected by these diseases, and increase the
availability of all organs for transplantation.
Making Lives Better
The National Kidney Foundation of Colorado, Montana, and Wyoming
(NKFCMW), was organized in 1965 in an effort to recognize the need
for an organization to help patients on dialysis and those in need
of a kidney transplant. Since its inception in 1965, the NKFCMW
has provided programs and services such as Kidney Camp, Patient
Picnics, and Emergency Financial Assistance Grants designed to assist
those with kidney diseases in our three-state area.
Knowledge is Power
The best way to prevent diseases is to truly understand the risks and causes of
the disease. In an effort to educate the community regarding the risks associated
with diseases of the kidney and urinary tract, brochures and publications are
distributed at a variety of community events. The National Kidney Foundation is
the major health organization in the United States whose sole purpose and efforts
are directed toward the eradication of these diseases.
Our Partners
You! Individuals can make a difference! The work of the National
Kidney Foundation of Colorado, Montana, and Wyoming is funded entirely
by public and private donations. The achievements of the National
Kidney Foundation are made possible through individual contributions.
Whether you volunteer your time to help with fundraisers and events,
make a monetary contribution, or sign an organ donor card, your
support helps NKF make lives better throughout our region.
